Pokémon Black Version 2

3 cert, Nintendo 3DS ****

Pokémon have been around for so long, you think someone would have managed to catch them all by now. But they’re slippery things, it seems, and there’s a new game in town, namely Pokémon Black 2. In it, you return to the Unova Region, only two years after the last instalment.
But this isn’t just a rehash of an old title just for the sake of it. The format stays the same, but there are new areas to explore, leaders to battle and plenty of new things to do to keep you working your way through the game. A new in-game tournament, the Pokémon World Tournament, gives you the space to refine all your skills against past Pokémon greats, putting the new moves you can learn in the game into practice.

There’s a tweaked Pokedex and a new medal system for reaching certain milestones in the games. And you can also create your own mini movies, starring your favourite Pokémon. Enough to keep both dedicated and new Pokémon players happy.
