Dick Ahlstrom

Science Editor

Dick Ahlstrom is Science Editor of The Irish Times. He edits the weekly Science Today page and files science news reports for various departments.

He is also an assistant news editor working on the newsdesk and previously served as Science Correspondent of the newspaper.

The Royal Irish Academy published his book on Irish science, Flashes of Brilliance, and has won a number of awards for his science writing.

He is a Fellow of the British Association for the Advancement of Science and is a Life Member of the Royal Dublin Society.

He holds degrees from Temple University, Philadelphia and from University College Dublin.
