Man for court on Kilkenny assault
A man is due in court in Kilkenny today in connection with the assault and robbery of an 86-year-old woman earlier this week.
The woman was attacked and robbed by a man as she walked on College View, Walkin Street. She remains in St. Luke's Hospital.
A man was later arrested and detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
A Garda spokesman said a man (35) would appear at Carlow District Court this morning.
