Police confirm son of writer Colin Bateman found safe

Author’s 18-year-old child, Matthew, had been reported missing in Belfast

Matthew Bateman is described as being 5’11”, of slim build with dirty fair hair and possibly wearing a ginger beard.

Police in Northern Ireland have confirmed the son of writer Colin Bateman has been found safe.

Matthew Bateman (18) had been missing since last Friday and concern was growing for his welfare.

Mr Bateman had been seen in the Botanic Gardens area of Belfast on Friday, June 13th.

Colin Bateman yesterday appealed on social media for information to help find his son.
