Gardaí seek help to find missing Kerry man

Family of Barry Ahern concerned as 47-year-old has not been seen since Monday

Gardaí are appealing for help from the public to find a missing Kerry man.

Barry Ahern (47) was last seen on Monday, September 11th, at his home in Tullahinell, Ballylongford.

Gardaí and the man’s family said they have a genuine concern for his wellbeing.

It is believed he may have recently travelled to Killarney and is now in and around Co Cork.

Mr Ahern is described as being 172cm (5ft 10in), of thin build with a shaved head and brown eyes.

Last seen

When last seen, he was wearing a black woolly hat with a grey stripe, brown check shirt, blue jacket, black jeans and sky-blue runners.

More than 9,000 people in Ireland are reported to the Garda as missing every year, according to the National Missing Persons Helpline.
