Gardaí seek help locating missing Tipperary man

Separate effort contiues to find man last seen in Kilkenny on Thursday night

Gardaí are seeking help in locating a 37-year-old man who has been missing from his home in Co Tipperary since Saturday morning.

David Wakefield was last seen leaving the family home at Mill Farm, Lorrha in his red Peugeot 407, registration number 02 D 741. There have been no other known sightings of either the car or Mr Wakefield since.

He is described as being about 5ft 6in tall with brown hair, a beard and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a blue jumper, blue jeans, a blue fleece coat, combat boots and a blue hat.

Gardaí and Mr Wakefield’s family are concerned for his safety. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nenagh Garda station on (067) 50450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Separately, gardaí in Kilkenny have appealed for information about the whereabouts of 31-year-old Shane Drennan.

Mr Drennan, of St Teresa's Terrace, was last seen at 11.30pm on Thursday walking on Rose Inn Street towards John Street.

He is described as being about 6 ft tall and has a shaved head. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark grey tracksuit and white runners when last seen.

Gardai have confirmed that Shannon Quaid (14), from Glencullen,Co Dublin about whom they issued an alert on Saturday, has been found safe and well.
