Areas of Wicklow without power due to large fault

ESB says Rathnew and Ballybeg are experiencing outages due to network issue

The ESB said that a large fault in its network is affecting areas in Co Wicklow.

The board said that the Rathnew and Ballybeg areas are experiencing power outages.

The board said it had restored power to more than 1,900 customers in these areas on Tuesday night and was working to restore full supply.

In a statement on its website, the ESB said: “We apologise for the loss of supply.

“We are currently working to repair a fault affecting premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”

The organisation also advised customers to stay safe in a tweet.
