Cycling boosts health and reduces stress but stay safe on the roads

Cycling has become more popular in recent years, with people turning to their bikes for both transport and recreation.

According to the UK's National Health Service, cycling can help you lose weight, reduce stress and improve fitness levels. It is low impact and easier on the joints than other activities such as running.

But stay safe on the roads. A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association showed that cycling-related injuries and hospitalisations among adults from 1998 to 2013 increased significantly alongside the activity's popularity.Click here for some tips from the Road Safety Authority.
