Commuter chaos: M50 pile-up causes delays for Dublin drivers

Commuters have been warned to expect delays on their way to work on Monday morning as emergency services deal with a five vehicle collision.

The crash occurred on the M50 before junction 13 on the Ballinteer road.

The multi vehicle crash occurred shortly after 6am has reduced traffic to one lane.

Gardaí and emergency services are attending the scene but there have been no reports of fatalities.

A spokeswoman for the gardaí said large delays could be expected this morning as emergency services attend the scene.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible or allow extra time due to the large delays.
