Female cyclist dies on Thurles road

 

A female cyclist was killed in a Thurles, Co Tipperary, road incident this morning.

At about 9.50am the woman, aged in her 70s, was in a crash involving a bus at Kickham Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick, for a postmortem.

There were no passengers on the bus.

<br/> Elsewhere, another woman (23) died in hospital following a two-car collision outside Dundalk, Co Louth, yesterday morning.
