With more than 17 years of experience behind her, Italian-born Cristina Zenato is no stranger to encountering and interacting with sharks.

Ms Zenato, nicknamed ‘the first lady of shark diving’, also managed to upload this video of her removing a hook from a shark’s mouth, while more swim around her.

“In my daily work and dives with sharks I am always removing their hooks. In this particular case it was harder than usual. After putting the shark in tonic I had to pull it from deep inside,” she writes.
