Stranded baby seal rescued by Gardaí in Co Galway

A four-week-old baby seal was rescued by Gardaí in Co Galway after becoming stranded at Weightman's Pier in Murrough on Friday evening.

The pup was in a “poor condition and would not have made it through the night”, Gardaí said.

It was taken by gardaí to a local vet for treatment before being collected by the Irish Seal Sanctuary yesterday.
