Criticised By Tribunal

32 Dublin County Councillors:Thirty-two Dublin county councillors were the subject of adverse findings or criticism by the planning tribunal, a detailed search of its final report reveals.

The list includes representatives of all parties then represented on the council, as well as Independents, but is dominated by Fianna Fáail councillors.

In all, findings were made against 21 Fianna Fáil councillors, seven from Fine Gael and one each from Labour, the Progressive Democrats, Democratic Left and Independents.

Three Fine Gael representatives - Olivia Mitchell TD and councillors Anne Devitt and Therese Ridge - remain active in politics.

In the list below, payments by developer Owen OCallaghan were made in relation to the rezoning of Quarryvale in west Dublin; payments by Christopher Jones snr relate to the rezoning of lands at Ballycullen in the south of the county; and those by Monarch to the rezoning of Cherrywood. Payments from Frank Dunlop relate to various rezonings, which are indicated where possible. – PAUL CULLEN
