Woman missing ‘upper front teeth’ sought over Belfast robbery

Suspect in her 50s or 60s made off with cash after robbing an off-licence at knifepoint

Police investigating an off-licence robbery in Belfast are attempting to find a middle-aged woman who was wearing a wedding hat and missing her “upper front teeth”.

The woman, aged in her 50s or 60s, made conversation with a female shop assistant in the off-licence on the Gilnahirk Road shortly before midday. before producing a knife and demanding money from the safe.

The woman then made off on foot with a sum of cash.

She is described as being 5ft 7in tall and of medium build, and was wearing a black wide-rimmed “wedding” style hat, black sunglasses, a black short sleeved blouse with a white floral pattern and black leather gloves.

The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information about the robbery, saying that “the description is distinctive and we are hoping that witnesses will have noticed this woman in the area.”
