Variety of drugs worth €30,000 seized in Galway

Man in his 20s arrested after cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy discovered in house

A total of €30,000 worth of cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy has been seized by gardaí in Galway on Friday.

During the search of a house in Ballinfoyle Park on the Headford Rd gardaí discovered 1,500 ecstasy tablets with a value €15,000, €10,000 worth of cannabis and Cocaine with a street value of €5,000.

A man in his 20’s was arrested and is being detained at Mill Street Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

The seizure was part of an intelligence led operation by gardaí from the Galway Drug Unit, who use analytical methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks.
