Two men stabbed in separate incidents in Dublin city centre

Two hospitalised after altercations on Cope Street and Werburgh Street

Two men have been hospitalised following separate stabbing incidents in Dublin city centre on Sunday evening.

The first incident occurred on Cope Street in Temple Bar at 6.20pm when a man (34) was taken to St James's Hospital following an altercation with another man and a woman. The victim suffered two stab wounds but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

A short distance away, another man in his 30s was stabbed on Werburgh Street in the south inner city. It is believed the victim was involved in an altercation with another man, and he was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment as a result of the attack.

Gardaí are seeking witnesses in relation to both incidents, and no arrests have yet been made in relation to either stabbing.
