Two arrested after cocaine worth €280,000 seized in Drogheda

Discovery made on Tuesday evening after two vehicles were searched

Two men have been arrested after cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 was seized from two vehicles in Drogheda on Tuesday evening.

The men, aged 57 and 40, were arrested by gardai with support from the PSNI. They are being held at Drogheda Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Searches were also conducted at a number of premises in Newry and the Dublin region.
