Three men have been arrested after separate drug seizures in Co Kildare and Co Galway.

During a search of a house at Bishopsland in Kildare town yesterday evening gardaí discovered cocaine with a street value of € 60,000, cannabis herb with a street value of € 20,000 and E tablets with a street value of € 10,000.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and will appear in court later today.

Another search of a house at Bell Harbour in Monasterevin yielded cannabis herb with a street value of € 10,000. A 26-year-old man was arrested but was later released without charge.

In Galway, a man in his mid-40s was arrested this afternoon after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €300,000 were seized in a sophisticated grow house in the Mountbellew area of Co Galway. Other drug paraphernalia and two firearms were also recovered.
