Three men arrested for questioning over the seizure of drugs valued at an estimated €5.1 million were due to appear before the courts this morning in relation to the find.

The three suspects have been questioned through the weekend since their arrest last Friday after the haul of cannabis herb and resin was found in a vehicle in Ballymun, north Dublin, and at commercial premises in Finglas during a follow-up search.

A total of four men were arrested on Friday. A woman in her 30s was also later detained.

After being questioned at Ballymun and Finglas stations, three of the men were due to appear before the courts in Dublin this morning.

The other man and the woman have been released without charge.
