Police investigate Belfast sex assault

Police in Belfast are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman early this morning.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was attacked in the Lagmore Avenue area close to Altan Park in Dunmurry shortly before 1.30am.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

They said they are keen to identify a male described as being about 25 years old, of thin build, shaven head and distinctive dark eye brows. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing grey coloured track bottoms and a grey coloured hooded top.
