Missing Finglas woman Karen Scott has been found

Gardaí had been searching for the 44-year-old, who has Down syndrome, since last Friday

Karen Scott, who has been missing from her home in Finglas for more than five days, has been found safe and well.

Gardaí had issued their latest appeal to the public to help find Ms Scott, who has Down syndrome, on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old was initially last seen in Phibsboro and the most recent sighting was in a licensed premises located on Burgh Quay, Dublin 2 last Friday, June 24th.

She was seen on CCTV wearing the same clothes as originally reported and she was in possession of her suitcase.

Ms Scott was found in Dublin’s city centre on Wednesday.

More than 80 people, including the organisations Down Syndrome Ireland and Finglas Youth Service, The Den, had been conducting searches in Phoenix Park and the Dublin’s city centre on Wednesday morning.

Gardaí have thanked the public for their help in finding Ms Scott.
