Man shot in legs during paramilitary-style Belfast attack

Victim in his 30s taken to hospital to be treated for non-lifethreatening injuries

A man has been shot in the legs in a paramilitary-style attack in Belfast, police have said.

Detectives appealed for information about the incident in the Jamaica Street area of north Belfast on Sunday evening.

“Police received reports shortly after 11.00pm that a man in his 30s had been shot in the legs. He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening,” PSNI detective Sergeant McCallum said.

He appealed to anyone with information to contact Musgrave police station or independent charity Crimestoppers.
