Four teenagers were arrested yesterday in Tullamore by gardaí targeting organised criminal groups involved in burglary.

The four were arrested when members of the Garda Regional Support Unit assisted by Traffic Corps stopped a car near Tullamore, Co Offaly and seized house-breaking implements.

The four, all in their late teens, were being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Tullamore Garda station.

The arrests are part of the ongoing Operation Fiacla against burglary gangs.
