Five people hospitalised after Dublin house fire

Occupants jumped to safety through first floor window of property in Crumlin

Two adults and three teenagers were injured in a house fire in Crumlin, Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The alarm was raised at about 3.55am after a fire broke out in a house on Captain’s Road in Crumlin. The five people in the house, including a woman in her 40s, a man in his early twenties, one teenage girl and two teenage boys, made their escape by jumping through a first floor window of the property.

The three teenagers were taken to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin suffering from smoke inhalation.

The woman, who suffered injuries to her leg, and the man, who suffered minor burns, were taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital.
