Cannabis worth €75,000 seized and woman arrested in Co Kerry

Cannabis herb to the value of €75,000 pending analysis was seized and a woman arrested after planned searches in Co Kerry last night.

Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit, Tralee, made the discovery as part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of drugs in the Kerry area.

They searched a premises in Cul Doire, Tralee at about 7.45pm last night.

A woman aged 26 was arrested at the scene and detained at Tralee Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

She was later released from custody having been charged with offences in connection with this investigation and is due to appear before Tralee District Court tomorrow morning at 10.30am.

Garda investigations are ongoing.
