Coyle expected to get Olympic slot

Modern Pentathlon:Ireland’s Natalya Coyle beat her closest rivals for Olympic qualification with a 21st-placed finish at the World Cup final in Chengdu and a likely spot at the London Olympics.

The 21-year-old must wait on the official announcement of the final Olympic rankings on June 1st but Pentathlon Ireland wrote on their official Twitter feed afterwards: “With some unofficial calculations we believe after finishing 21st today that Natalya Coyle has qualified for the London Olympics!”

Coyle also wrote on Twitter, saying: Unofficially I have just qualified for the OLYMPICS!! LONDON 2012 here I come!!
