Council worker dies in Kildare crash
A Kildare County Council employee has died after being struck by a car while working on a road near Maynooth yesterday afternoon.
Kevin O'Sullivan (59) was struck by a car at Graiguesallagh on the Maynooth to Rathcoffey road at about 3pm. He was involved in roadworks when the crash happened.
Mr O'Sullivan, who had worked for the council for 22 years, was taken to Naas General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda forensic collision investigators and the Health and Safety Authority has been informed.

The mayor and county manager have offered their sympathies to Mr O'Sullivan's family.
