A lucky 13 in a syndicate of call-centre workers from Inishowen in Co Donegal are celebrating sharing more than €4.8 million.

Staff at a Malin Head insurance company – Forward Emphasis International – will now share more than €375,000 each. News of the win spread quickly across Donegal after it emerged the winner, or winners, of last night’s rollover cash was from the North-West.

The lucky winners met up for breakfast in the nearby Inishowen town of Carndonagh. Anne-Marie McFadden, one of the winners, said: “We are over the moon. We still can’t believe it.

“There’s 12 of us out celebrating with a cup of tea in Carndonagh – another one is away on holidays in Spain.

“I think a spending spree is top of the list with a lot of us.”

The winning numbers were 19,25,26,27,39,45 and bonus number was 42.

It’s the fourth time a Lotto jackpot winning ticket has been sold in Buncrana. Over €73.5 million has been paid out to 51 lucky Co Donegal winners since the Lotto began in 1988.
