Campaigner remanded in custody
Loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer was remanded in custody at Belfast Magistrates’ Court yesterday accused of encouraging offences by a speech to union flag protesters.
He is also alleged to have joined unnotified public processions and been in possession of an illegal Taser stun gun.
Frazer, of Tandragee Road, Markethill, Co Armagh, was arrested on Wednesday. He faces six charges allegedly committed over the last two months during ongoing protests linked to the decision to restrict the flying of the union flag at Belfast City Hall.
