Bridge notes
The Camrose Trophy, for which teams from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Republic compete, was decided over two weekends with the second in the City North Hotel, Gormanston, Co Meath. To avoid a sit-out, the hosts for the second weekend are allowed enter two teams.
The final placings were: 1st, England, 182 points; 2nd, the Republic, 170.5; 3rd, Northern Ireland, 161; 4th, Wales, 146; 5th, Scotland, 119; 6th, Contract Bridge Association of Ireland, 103.
