South Africa Correspondent

Journalist Bill Corcoran has been living and working in Africa since January 2005 when he decided to leave Ireland to become a foreign correspondent.

He first began to write for the Irish Times as South Africa correspondent at this time and he can predominately be found in its foreign pages.

Currently based in Cape Town, he travels extensively across the continent to report on politics, current affairs and humanitarian issues, among other things.

On occasion he can also be heard on Irish and UK radio, including RTE, Newstalk, Today FM and the BBC, where he talks about African issues of the day.
