Baby girl for Huberman, O'Driscoll

Irish rugby star Brian O’Driscoll is likely to be both tired and exhilarated when he lines out against England this afternoon after his wife Amy Huberman gave birth to their first child, a baby girl called Sadie, this morning

The actress and author was on the red carpet at the Irish Film and Television Awards last night and then went for dinner with her mother. She went into labour overnight and gave birth at 10.30am.

O'Driscoll was present at the birth but he has since rejoined the Irish squad and will take to the field for his122nd cap at 3pm.

"Sadie came a few days early and both mother and baby are happy out and safe and sound," a spokeswoman for the couple said. "Brian is likely to have a spring in his step this afternoon for sure," she added.
