Travel Gear: The world’s smallest charger/battery, the ultimate suit case, and roll-up for the weekend

Gadgets for on the go

Fluxmob Bolt Battery & Charger

A crowd-funded product that has actually made it on to the market, the Bolt is claiming to be the world's smallest wall charger and portable battery in one. And it is teeny, even with a square pin adapter plugged in (the US flat-pin plug is standard). With a USB output, the rubbery Bolt fits just about any mobile device and thanks to its own 3000mAh L-ion battery, there's plenty of juice as a portable power source if you're running low. You can check the battery charge on the LED display. Comes in range of colours. $50 from fluxmob.com

Vocier C38 Suitcase

Although apparently positioned for the male traveller, this is a carry-on case for someone who wants to keep their suit in pristine condition. It's got an integrated suit carrier section with a magnetic hanger, and space elsewhere for the rest of your executive packing, including an easy access wash bag compartment. Designed in Austrian with an aluminium and Italian leather body, it's pricey. If you've just splashed out €10,000 for the gold Apple Watch Edition, this could be the new carry-on for you. €685 from vocier.com

Rolo Travel Bag At the other end of the luggage rack, here's the Rolo, a new concept in packing – sort of. Another crowd-funding success (as it's out of stock at the moment), the Rolo has a set of mesh pockets on a tough nylon backing that you load flat, then roll up to compress and clip it closed. You can stick it in a small tote or on to your rucksack like a bed-roll, say, and a hanger can be hooked up at the other end to get at everything easily. $50 from rolotravel.com
