Empireretreat. com
This retreat south of Perth is steeped in nature, from interior materials to the surroundings. You can relax and luxuriate in a deep, stone bath set before a lush courtyard. If you prefer ablutions in nature, rooms have outdoor showers too. The Empire, a former farmhouse by a river, is centred on a spa. Doubles from $295 (€200).

Intercontinental Hong Kong

This tower has expansive views of Hong Kong from many parts of the hotel. Those in the presidential suite can contemplate the scene from the bath or infinity pool atop its roof. There are also views from the baths of the CEO suite and de luxe suites and a view-tastic infinity pool for all guests on the third-floor terrace. Doubles from HK$6,000 (€585).

Molori Safari Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa

The view from baths in all suites is through floor-to-ceiling glass walls, which retract. Decks have infinity pools and showers for further wash-with-nature options. For experiences beyond the bath, there are safaris and a telescope for extra terrestrial views. Other star-spotting has included Kate Moss and Lily Allen. Full-board is €681 per person.
