Skeleton pirate feast

Newbridge House and Farm in Donabate

Take a pre-Halloween jaunt down the fanstastically named Hearse Road in Donabate to Newbridge House and Farm, an early 18th-century Georgian property that's a hive of activity year round, but comes into its own in the winter months.

A special Halloween tour takes in a skeleton pirate feast, and you can expect scares in every room. As kids faces turn pale, take time to survey the spectacular seasonal decorations designed by Chelsea Flower Show and Bloom medal winning florist Christopher White.

The tours run from 11am to 4pm daily, Saturday, October 25th to Friday, October 31st inclusive. A family ticket, two adults and two children, costs €14. Adult tickets are €5, children €4, kids under two go free. Go early and explore the farm and its rare breeds beforehand. See newbridgehouseandfarm.com Alanna Gallagher
