Yuletide blitz on the Boyne

Drogheda and its folk will be throwing the mother of all Christmas parties this weekend. You can catch a non-stop schedule of family activities including treasure hunt, drop-in drawing and a fun run. Bop while you shop with live music galore and an artisan market for foodies and craft lovers. The Coca Cola truck pulls into town tomorrow morning and celebrations will be rounded off with a firework spectacular at 6pm.

Down with Diddley-I

The traditional Irish greeting card gets a makeover by Art Card Ireland. Say goodbye to scenes of turf fires and donkeys and hello to felt rabbits, double pillar boxes and Sandycove swimmers.

The Dublin based art collective designs cost €3.50 each with royalties going to the artist. On sale in Bank of Ireland College Green on December 13th. See artcardsireland.com.
