THE SOCIAL NETWORK:At the opening night of Cole Porter’s musical High Society at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin on Tuesday night, Senator David Norris arrived almost singing about how stunning the theatre building was and his excitement to see the stage adaptation of the 1956 film. He attended with Muireann Noonan.

Gay Byrne and his wife, Kathleen Watkins, had come from the nearby Café H bar, where they caught up with Harry Crosbie before the show.

Sinead Desmond of TV3 brought her aunt for her birthday and wondered if she would make it to the end, with her aunt telling her, “If you’re not enjoying it you can go for a drink,” but she stayed and enjoyed it.

Donal Skehan attended with his girlfriend, Sofie Larsson, while the Love/Hate star Aoibhinn McGinnity arrived looking glamorous in a grey hat.

Siobhan O’Connor from 98FM was there, as was Rebecca Lee from Q102. Lee is also a contestant on TV3’s dating show Take Me Out, which is currently airing.
