Put the boot in
A trek around the shoe sales in Dublin reveals hundreds of unwanted sandals, flimsy flops and peep toed affairs all reduced to a fraction of their original cost. What to wear when one minute it’s pouring and the next hot and sunny? The answer, says Audrey Murray of Buffalo, is the ankle boot. “It goes with shorts, dresses and trousers, fits everybody and we’ve had so much success with them in the last two years that we don’t buy sandals any more,” she says. Typical are these lace-up tapestry platforms (165) by Jeffrey Campbell exclusive to them in Exchequer Street and Arnotts.
