Pimp your bicycle

There’s a grand stretch in the evenings – and if there’s been a grand stretch in your little ones, too, Rothar in Dún Laoghaire has just the thing. The not-for-profit bike shop – which turns unwanted bicycles into revamped rides – has a new scheme where you can trade in a bicycle a child has outgrown and get a new one that’s a better fit for the summer ahead.

Families looking to buy a bike who do not have a bike to trade are also welcome. Just pop along to the shop on Patrick Street with your bike on February 16th for a valuation. Rothar reckons in most cases this will be enough to cover the cost of the new bicycle, but if not you pay the difference. rothar.ie, tel 01-214 0646.
