SAD NEWS came through this week of the untimely death of Mark Verjans of Content Collector.

He was well known among Dublin estate agents for the pioneering work he did as a professional photographer. Verjans, who died on Saturday after a short illness, was one of the first, 10 years ago, to supply professional photographs and floor plans to most of the leading estate agents, including Savills, Sherry FitzGerald and Knight Frank.

According to Ronan O’Hara, of Sherry FitzGerald: “Mark was a terrific guy, a consummate professional, an absolute gentleman and generous to a fault. He raised the bar for the quality of photographs provided by Irish estate agents in the print media and online and in their sales brochures. Anyone who knew him knows what a great loss he will be.”

When Verjans became ill recently he retired and sold his stake in Content Collector to his colleagues. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially by his wife Martha, son Emil, mother Margaret, brothers Paul and Greg, sisters Daria and Gina, and brother-in-law Kevin.
