Kingscroft Developments is the company behind Killart, a new scheme of 17 homes on the site of Tracey’s Yard on the Old Clonkeen Road in Cabinteely. It’s where Cabinteely Tyres and Landscape Providers used to be. Kingscroft is the developer behind The Starlings in Shankhill, built in 2013; Thorndale in Delgany, Co Wicklow, which launched in 2016; and Stonebridge in Ratoath, Co Meath, also launched in 2016.

The three-storey semis at Killart, designed by Carew Kelly Architects, are near Cabinteely Park, a gorgeous public green space of 45 hectares that includes a Brambles cafe and a Japanese garden to explore as well as playing fields and a fine playground.

Of the 17 houses in this southside suburb, four have already been sold. The remaining 13 are three-storey semis that measure between 178sq m/1,915sq ft and 188 sq m/2,023sq ft and have a price range of €725,000-€745,000 through agent Beirne & Wise.

The houses have solar panels to heat the hot water and photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. The AluClad windows also help contribute to the homes’ BER rating of A3.

The kitchens are painted soft grey and the dining areas have double doors that open out to the garden. There are no appliances included in the sale. Interconnecting doors lead through to the living room to the front.

Upstairs on the first floor are two of the property’s four bedrooms. One of these, to the front of the house, has a shower en suite, which could be the master bedroom. The family bathroom is also at this level.

On the second floor there are two more doubles. The room to the front also has an en suite and is a second master option. It has a dormer window, which feels like a natural place to position a desk or dressing table.

The houses have brick fronts with blackened detailing and parking for up to two cars to the front.
