This elegant Victorian house in Sandycove is a stone’s throw from the harbour
A big selling point for this large 265sq m (2,850sq ft) house is its proximity to the sea – it’s just at the end of the road and the window seat in the upstairs bay window is a lovely spot for enjoying the sea view. It’s a particularly bright house helped by the wide hall with its limed, wide-plank flooring, the high ceilings on both levels and the tall sash windows throughout. Halfway up the stairs on the return is an open-plan room used as a home office. Further up there are four bedrooms, two very large, the main one has a deep bay window as well as a sash window. It has a newly redesigned en suite. The family bathroom is very smart with blue metro tiles, contemporary fittings and a skylight.
The landscaped back garden at 13 metres deep is relatively small given the size of the house – it’s the only compromise prospective buyers in this ready-to-walk into family-friendly house will have to think about.
There is off-street parking out front for two cars and pedestrian acess from the back garden out on to a lane.
