The late Knight of Glin, Desmond FitzGerald, devoted his lifetime to the upkeep and preservation of his 700 year old ancestral home in west Limerick. With his passing, the title went with him, and now – with more than a little regret - the family are selling this very special Georgian mansion on 380 acres. The rooms are filled with historic artefacts, paintings and rare Irish furniture. The 700 year old ancestral home on the banks of the Shannon is for sale on 380 acres for €6.5 million through David Ashmore of Sherry FitzGerald and Christies International. Video: Bryan O'Brien
