New auction salesroom opens in Co Kildare

The Ashgrove Group, which already operates an antiques auctioneering business at Ballybrittas, Portlaoise has announced the opening of new premises in
Co Kildare.

The Ashgrove Auction Rooms in Naas, Co Kildare will open this afternoon at 5pm and the first auction will take place on Tuesday, July 9th at 2pm. The venue is at Jigginstown, on the Newbridge Road at the southern edge of Naas town centre.

The company, headed by auctioneer Sean Eacrett, said it would hold fine art and antiques auctions in Naas on the second Tuesday of every month, while continuing to hold auctions in Portlaoise on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

The debut Naas auction includes Georgian and Victorian furniture, ceramics, prints, silver, glassware, rugs, various collectibles and paintings, and three oils by equestrian artist Peter Curling, including Curragh Plains, €2,000-€3,000.
