Forthcoming Auctions: Tomorrow, Sunday (June 7th) Matthews Auction Rooms will hold a ("well- signposted") on-the-premises executors' sale in Belturbet, Co Cavan, at the home of the late Hugh Kenna at 2.30pm.

Monday Milltown Country Auction Rooms, Dromiskin Dundalk, Co Louth. Antiques auction at 5pm.

Correction: The report last Saturday inadvertently described the €260,000 achieved at Sheppard's auction for a Chinese jade seal as "the highest price achieved in any Irish fine art and antiques saleroom in 2015". It was, in fact, the second highest. In February, a "Native American" outfit sold for €320,000 at Fonsie Mealy Auctioneers.
