Dine before you fly

Derry Clarke, chef/proprietor of L’Ecrivain restaurant in Dublin 2, has been announced as the official ambassador for an Irish Food Festival which will take place at Dublin airport on September 27th-October 4th. There are 27 food outlets between the two terminals, catering for 34,000 people a day, and their tenders specify that they must support local producers and suppliers. The festival is being billed as “Irish themed, with a twist”, and will feature cookery demonstrations by Clarke and other chefs, food tasting opportunities and special menus.
