The new Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Collection: Does it deserve the hype?

Plenty of new additions to excite: 18 to be precise, as well as two limited edition sets


Victoria Beckham came to Dublin last week to introduce her new collection for Estée Lauder, and the city came to a halt, or it might as well have. The woman is a success story of legendary proportions.

The Miami Look

VB x Estée Lauder launched first in September of last year and was a worldwide commercial success, so it is no surprise that Beckham’s second range for Estée Lauder has caused tremendous anticipation.

The New York City Look

Thankfully (and perhaps unfortunately for your bank balance), overall the new collection is even better than the first, along the same theme of capsule makeup wardrobes inspired by some of Beckham’s most loved cities like New York, London, Paris and Miami.

Ten of the products from the first collection have returned, including the beautifully radiant Morning Aura Illuminating Crème (€87) and the almost wet-look glittery.

The ones to get most excited about are the Matte Lipstick in Black Cassis (€46), an intensely deep Bordeaux, Aura Gloss (€36), an unusual and beautiful multitasking gloss that works on lips, eyes, or skin as a highlight.

The Lip Gloss in Fired Crystal (€34) is clear with a multi-coloured pearl and is delectably plumping and sheeny. Opt for the Eye Kajal Duo (€36) in Java/Vanille for a creamy, blendable double-ended eyeliner with a rich, interesting autumnal brown and a brightening nude.

Skin Perfecting Powder (€75)

The Skin Perfecting Powder (€75) comes in a universal, translucent shade and is exquisitely packaged in a weighty and beautiful, vintage-inspired compact that you will keep forever.

The Paris Look

The collection is well worth a visit to Brown Thomas for a look. Yes, you will pay Victoria Beckham prices for the products, but the quality and attention to detail make them worth it.
