Aisling’s Picks of the Week: A bouncy sleeping Mask and beauty revealing creams

We’ve got a serum developed especially to target the addled “quarter life crisis” sector, a very spendy “beauty revealing cream” and that new fruity fragrance from Tom Ford.

Meanwhile, a new Body Shop korean-inspired sleeping mask is this week’s lust-have.

Tom Ford Private Blend Mandarino di Amalfi €115

As soon as I sampled this fragrance I was transported with happiness. Citrus scents give me joy, and this one is something special: light, fresh and refreshing.

Catrice Dream 12h Matte Mousse Make-Up €5.49

Another really good take on Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. This gives long-lasting, full coverage that is perfect for oily or combination skin at a great price.

Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream €70

Darphin loves to talk about skin being cocooned and cosseted, and at this price point you would certainly hope that it would be. This is a thick, rich cream that is perfectly suited to mature skin. My eyes blurred upon reading the list of ingredients; it contains an embarrassment of riches in the form of natural oils and fruit extracts.

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum With Willowherb €42

Yet another skin category has been invented. This one targets the “quarter-life crisis” sector For everyone previously unaware of such a notion, this serum is aimed at twentysomethings who do not need anything beyond a smidge of extra hydration. It has lots of moisturising ingredients, salicylic acid and silicones to smooth skin that is not “rebounding” as fast as it once did.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask €30

How I love to spot Korean trends slipping into our western beautysphere. Bounce creams are big in Asia, and this is a deliciously firm-to-the-touch mask
