My clients are involved in developing systems to improve safety and driving by offering easy access and enhanced visibility around the vehicle.

The role and responsibilities:

  • Will be leading up a team of 10+ hardware design engineers and will be responsible for the management of hardware architecture and design engineering resources
  • Participate in formal product design reviews and Schematic/PCB reviews
  • Support development and maintenance of the clients hardware development process and provide technical leadership and decision making to the hardware design team
  • Manage all hardware developments to ensure reusability and portability across various platforms
  • Sponsor innovation and creativity in the development of all products
  • Participate in formal product design reviews and schematic/PCB reviews
  • Support development and maintenance of hardware development process and ensure professional management of technical communication with relevant customers

The requirements:

  • Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an r&d environment, including 3 years in a managerial/leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to bring a project from concept to volume manufacturing
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage
  • Mindset of continuous improvement
