THESE SURVEYs in the Republic of Ireland was conducted exclusively on behalf of The Irish Times by TNS mrbi, among a national quota sample of 2,000 representative of the c.3.2 million adults aged 18 upwards, covering 200 sampling points throughout all constituencies in the Republic of Ireland.

FIve hundred interviews were conducted in each of the four European election constituencies, with the data weighted back in line with population estimate at a national level. Personal in-home interviewing took place on May 12th, 13th and 14th 2009, and the accuracy level is estimated to be approximately plus or minus 2 per cent at a national level, and approximately plus or minus 4.5 per cent at a European election constituency level. In all respects, the survey was conducted withinthe guidelines laid down by The Marketing Society ofIreland, and by ESOMAR.
